write_light has written a wonderfully dark fic full of mythological and religious threads. The story pulls on very primitive archetypes, so I thought the art should be primitive as well. Also the theme that I used to guide the creation of the art was fire/red, so theme guided my creation of these works.

The last thing I made were some drop caps, which I thought suited the nature of the fic. They also carry out the fire/red theme. I made the whole alphabet, but here are a few examples:

I loved 'The Sorcerer' when I first came across a print of it, and it seemed to go so well with the story, as did the other cave paintings of 'hunters'. *g*

I like the incorporation of the cave art, the drop caps are amazing, and I adore the sound track cover with all those old fashioned fonts! It looks like an album cover from the 60s or 70s :)

It was supposed to look like an advertising board from the 1800s so I guess it's a fail from that standpoint.

HEY! You know I love the work, but I just wanted to say it here too - this really blew me away. I love that you went into paleolithic art to show how far back some elements of this story reach (without giving away too much), and of course fire, a key part of the whole series. I think the Cain/Abel icon and the Sam with a beard icon are my faves, and the Soundtrack art I've already gushed over. In short, THANK YOU.

I had a great time working out the symbolic elements for your fic, which is what drew me to it in the first place! ^^ And the fact that the cave paintings were 'hunters' seemed like it worked in well with your myth of the the boys' existence stretching back into the dawn of time.

Gorgeous! I'm finally about to start the much-anticipated fic with a clean conscience, having just packed a final draft of my college thesis off. This art makes me all the more excited. When I was an undergrad we had a Vaudeville themed ball and the programme you made here is even better than the ones the art committee made for that. One of many things I am enjoying in this verse is the fire symbolism and I think this art captures it really effectively.
